Rent Lapin

Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use Rent Lapin’s dress rental service.

Last updated: 21 October 2026

1. Who we are

Rent Lapin (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with our website and rental services. If you have questions about this policy, please contact us using the details below.

2. Information we may collect

Information you provide, such as name, email, phone number, delivery or return address, order and rental details, messages you send us, and account details when you register or sign in (including sign-in via third parties such as LINE where you choose that option). Technical information such as device type, browser language, IP address, the pages and dresses you view on our site, and cookies or similar technologies as described in section 9. Photos you choose to send when you search for dresses by photo (the camera button on our homepage).

3. How we use information

To provide rentals, delivery, returns, and customer support To process payments and prevent fraud (with authorised payment providers) To comply with legal obligations To improve our website and services (including analytics that may be aggregated or anonymised where possible) To measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram and show them to people likely to be interested, for example to see which ads lead to actual bookings We rely on our rental contract with you, our legal duties, our legitimate interest in measuring our ads, and your consent where the law requires it.

4. Sharing with third parties

We may share data with service providers who help us operate our business—for example hosting, payments, shipping, messaging, or analytics—only for the purposes we instruct and as permitted by law. We use advertising tools from Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram) to measure our ads. When you use our website, Meta may receive information about how you use it through the Meta Pixel (see section 9). When you book or rent with us, whether on our website, through LINE or through our staff, we may send Meta booking details (such as the items rented, the date and the rental amount) together with your phone number, customer ID and email (where we have it), which we hash into a code before sending, so they are not sent as readable text. For website bookings we also send your IP address, browser details and Meta cookie IDs. Meta uses these codes to match the booking to a Facebook or Instagram account to measure our ads, and handles the information under its Business Tools Terms and Privacy Policy. If you do not want your bookings sent to Meta, tell us through LINE or the contact details below and we will stop sending them from our systems. To limit what the Meta Pixel on our website shares, see section 9. Photos you send to search by photo are processed by Google, through the Gemini API, to find similar dresses. Our staff may view them to improve the results. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Rent Lapin, our customers, and others.

5. International transfers

Some of our tools, including Meta and Google, process data outside Thailand. Where they do, we take steps that align with applicable legal requirements.

6. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in section 3, unless a longer period is required by law. Photos sent to search by photo are stored privately and deleted automatically after 30 days.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

8. Your rights

Under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise your rights, contact us. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and understand aggregated usage. You can control cookies through your browser; some features may not work if cookies are disabled. We also use the Meta Pixel, Meta’s advertising tool that uses cookies (_fbp and _fbc). It tells Meta which pages and dresses you view, what you add to your cart, and when you check out and pay. We use this to measure our ads, and Meta uses it to show you relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram. If you are signed in, or type your email or phone number into a form, the pixel also sends them, hashed in your browser before they leave it. To stop this, block cookies and trackers in your browser, or turn off ‘Your activity off Meta technologies’ in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

10. Children

Our services are not directed at children below the age at which they can validly consent under local law. If you believe we have collected a child’s data inappropriately, please contact us.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
